Be a Team Player!

Team Players and Diversity - Do Amazing Things, Together!

Are you a team player?

The ability to play well and contribute to teams that do big things is more important today than ever.

Here are six hallmarks of great team players I coach:

  • Show up. Great team players arrive every day on-time, prepared, and ready to contribute. They show up - no excuses, no exceptions. They practice the way they expect to compete.
  • Expect the best. Great team players aim high and expect the best. They recognize the power and energy of a positive mindset when pursuing bold goals and objectives.
  • Know your strengths and weaknesses. Great team players know how, when, and where their talent matters most. They acknowledge their limits and ask for help when needed to keep the team moving forward.
  • Master the fundamentals. Great team players practice and master the fundamentals. By sharpening their basic skills they build confidence and reliable habits to excel under pressure.
  • Make your teammates better. Great team players encourage and challenge their teammates to play better. They understand the team is more likely to win when every team member plays their best.
  • Give and expect immediate feedback. Great team players are eager to learn and adjust their practice to accelerate development. They know good things happen when they keep getting better. They communicate clearly and constructively. They give and expect immediate feedback.

Aim high. Do big things together!
